Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the signal processing circuit which can perform accurate synchronizing separation of a signal passed through a sub-emphasis circuit at S-VHS signal recording. SOLUTION: At VHS signal recording, a synchronizing signal is separated by a synchronizing separator circuit 15 by switching an SW(switch) 8 to an input terminal (a) side, an SW 2 to an input terminal (b) side, and an SW 3 to an input terminal (a) side. At the S-VHS signal recording, meanwhile the synchronizing signal is separated after a high-frequency component emphasized by the sub-emphasis circuit 53 is put back into the original component by a sub-deemphasis circuit 14 by switching the SW 8 to an input terminal (b) side, the SW 2 to the input terminal (b) side, and the SW 3 to an input terminal (b) side.
