PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly stop a motor in the case where a pulse signal system is disconnected during controlling the reversion of a motor according to the detection of a bitten state of a foreign matter in a power window device, or a window is restricted due to any cause to obstruct the production of the pulse signal, and the count number of the pulse signal does not therefore reach a fixed value or the failure of a timer obstructs the timing-up of the set time of a timer. SOLUTION: This power window device is provided with a means for reversely driving a motor untill the count number of a pulse signal produced from a pulser synchronizedly with the rotation of a motor reaches a fixed number; a means for reversely driving the motor for a fixed time set by a timer; and a means for stopping the reverse driving of the motor when the count number of the pulse signal has reached a fixed value or a time set by the timer has elapsed.
