JOINT TYPE DOOR HINGE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an outer top edge from interfering with any kinds of pillar structure when a door is opened. SOLUTION: A joint type door hinge comprises a pillar side link 42 having a base 44 attached on a pillar inner surface 24 and a holding surface 46 for supporting a rotation center shaft 48, a door side link 34 having a base 36 attached on a door inner surface 18 and a holding surface 38 for supporting a rotation center shaft 40, a forward link 50 for connecting the rotation center shaft 40 of the foremost side in accordance with a longitudinal direction of the door side link 34 to the pillar side link 42, and a backward link 52 for connecting the rotation center shaft 40 of a tail side in accordance with a longitudinal direction of the door side link 34 to the pillar side link 42. A top edge 16 of a door outer surface 14 can be operated between a door closing position separated from a pillar outer surface 22 by a specified distance and a door opening position where the top edge 16 of the door outer surface 14 is moved to an inner side of a horizontal direction of the pillar outer surface 22 and to a rear side of a longitudinal direction.
