DETERGENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent compsn. which is excellent in foaming, foam quality, and temp. stability and hardly irritates the skin by incorporating at least one compd. selected from among glycyrrhetic acid, glycyrrhizic acid, and the derivs. of these acids, an acylamino acid surfactant, and a polyhydric alcohol into the same. SOLUTION: This compsn,. contains 0.005-10 wt.% at least one compd. selected from among glycyrrhetic acid, glycyrrhizic acid, and the derivs. of these acids, 1-50 wt.% acylamino acid surfactant, at least 20 wt.% polyhydric alcohol, and other ingredients such as an anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, a silicone oil, and a lanolin oil. Sodium N-lauroylglutamate, sodium N- coconut oil fatty acid acylglutamate, or the like, having an 8-20C acyl group is used as an acyl acidic aminoacid salt. A glycol (e.g. propylene glycol or 3-butylene glycol), a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. glycerol), a polymeric glycol (e.g. polyethylene glycol), or the like is used as the polyhydric alcohol.
