PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a function performing false incoming signaling to a telephone set to get out of a situation from which you want to escape at the time of door-to-door sales or when you do undesired work by providing an incoming call signaling means that signals an incoming call, a false incoming call key and a controlling means which makes the incoming call signaling means signal an incoming call after prescribed time passes when the false incoming call key is operated. SOLUTION: A control circuit 9 monitors whether or not a false bell key 152 is pressed down and when it detects that the bell 152 is pressed down, the circuit 9 makes a displaying means 14 show a false caller number stored in a RAM: 11 after prescribed time (T1) to pretend caller number display according to transmission telephone number service. Also, the circuit 9 rings a bell 13 to pretend the reception of a calling signal. Further, if a handset 3 is lifted from a handset mounted part within prescribed time (T2), false ringing is stopped and false speech voice stored in the RAM: 11 is made to be outputted from a speaker 31 to pretend speech communication.
