Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the contact resistance of a connection part for effectively extracting electric power by forming projecting parts on at least one surface of a current collecting member. SOLUTION: This fuel cell is constituted of a cell collective body 5, wherein a pair of flat current collecting members 2 are connected to cells 1, a cell collective body 6, where a flat current collecting member 2 and a current collecting member 3 having projecting parts 4 formed on its one surface are connected to cells 1 and a pressing means 18. The cell collective body 5 and the cell collective body 6 abut on each other at the projecting parts 4 formed on the current collecting member 3 and are pressed against each other by the pressing means 18. Therefore, since the pressing force is concentrated on the projecting parts 4, contact pressure is increased to reduce the contact resistance. A similar effect can also be provided by interposing a conductive felt between the flat current collecting member 2 and the projecting parts 4, and the conductive felt is caught on the projecting parts 4, so that the slip of the conductive felt, for instance, at the time of assembly or power generation can be prevented.
