FIXING ROLLER FOR THERMAL FIXING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the assembling property and workability without necessitating a retaining ring for fixing and to realize reduction of the cost by providing an elastic projecting part having elasticity for holding a gear at the end of a fixing roller as a presser in the thrust direction of the gear. SOLUTION: A hook-shaped notch 10 is formed at the leading end of the small-diameter part 2a of the fixing roller 2 and an elastic part 11 is provided there. Furthermore, a locking part 12 inclined upward is formed at the leading end of the elastic part 11. Therefore, in the case of inserting the gear, the locking part 12 is elastically deformed and the gear is attached to the roller 2. Namely, in the case of fixing the gear in the roller 2, the locking part 12 is elastically deformed with the insertion in the small-diameter part of the gear, and the locking part 12 is elastically restored at the time of attaching the gear, so that the gear is fixed on the roller 2. Thus, the gear is positioned in the thrust direction with respect to the roller 2.
