Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alarm the insufficiency of a refrigerant in a tank with a sufficient time to spare without limiting operation. SOLUTION: This cooling and heating device comprises a first refrigerant cycle 16 on the utilization side to deprive of heat through heat-exchange of heat conveyed through a refrigerant cycle 1 on the heat source side and store the heat in an atmospheric type tank 15; a second refrigerant cycle 17 on the utilization side to convey a refrigerant in the tank 15 to an indoor unit 6 arranged in a room and return it to the tank 15; and a control means 32 to control operation of a device. Water level sensors 37 and 38 are provided to be positioned in a level higher those of the opening parts, opened in a tank, of all pipings connected to the tank 15 and having a difference in a level therebetween. During detection in air only by the water level sensor 37 in a high level, alarm display to display the insufficiency of a refrigerant is effected by the control means 32 at a display device 33 to continue steady operation. During detection in air of both the water level sensors 37 and 38 in a low and a high level, abnormality display to display abnormality of a refrigerant amount is effected at the display device 33 and operation prohibition processing is executed.
