COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT, MIB DATA SETTING METHOD THEREFOR AND RECORDING MEDIUM RECORDING PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment, MIB data setting method therefor and recording medium recording program therefor with which the MIB definition of communication equipment having a simple network management protocol(SNMP) function can be efficiently performed. SOLUTION: Communication equipment 1 has an SNMP agent function based on a processing part 2 and a read file 3a describing MIB in the text format or BER format and at the time of activating the equipment or responding to an instruction from a managing device 20 provided with an SNMP manager function under operating, the read file 3a is read. According to these contents, SET (SNMP Set Request) processing is performed. Besides, the result of that SET processing is preserved as a processing result file 3b and the processing result file 3b is transferred to the managing device 20 by a file transfer protocol.
