COATING APPARATUS AND COATING METHOD FOR LARGE SIZE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic coating apparatus for a large size material of a metal material which is installable in a narrow installation surface area, has a short line length, and is able to be build in an existing surface treatment line as necessary and to provide a coating method using the apparatus. SOLUTION: This coating apparatus comprises (A) a carrier bar 3 connected with one pole of an electrostatic coating apparatus 2 for setting a large size material and a fixing member joined to the carrier bar, (B) a carrier which is provided with a coating tank 9 connected to the other pole of the electrostatic coating apparatus, one or a plurality of guns 6 of the electrostatic coating apparatus connected with the coating tank 9, a coating booth 4 for covering the periphery of the respective guns 6 of the electrostatic coating apparatuses, a recovery facility for sucking gases from the coating booth 4 and collecting the scattered matter and volatile matter, and a collecting booth of coating materials and is movable along the longitudinal direction of the large size material, and (C) an operation board of the coating facility installed on the carrier or in the outside of the carrier. The coating method is for a large size material using the coating apparatus.
