ATM EXCHANGE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BAND AND QUALITY OF ATM CONNECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM exchange and a method for controlling band and quality of ATM connection. SOLUTION: Concerning an ATM exchange 1 for connecting input and output through an internal connection for controlling the band and quality of an ATM connection, this ATM exchange is provided with a terminated input line part, output line part to an output connection and switch part for switching from the first ATM connection through the first internal connection to the second ATM connection of connecting second input and output connections through the first internal connection while having the same band and quality as the first ATM connection. Thus, the ATM connection can be instantaneously switched without requiring the releasing processing of the first internal connection and the setting processing of the new internal connection.
