OUTDOOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive and reliable loading structure by providing reinforcing struts which are fixed to a lower outdoor unit and support an upper outdoor unit, in outdoor units which can be arranged one on the other. SOLUTION: One outdoor unit is loaded with the other same type outdoor unit on the tip thereof. A housing of the outdoor unit consists of a front panel 41 forming a bell mouth 13, a back panel 42, a roof plate 4 and a bottom plate 5. Reinforcing struts 43 are fixed to the rear surfaces of the back panels 42 by means of screws 31 through fixing holes 45 so as to support and fix both of the upper and lower outdoor units. The individual reinforcing struts 43 are punched with release holes 44 which are arranged to communicate with drain discharge ports 10, respectively, which are provided on an outer edge 5a of the bottom plate 5, so that drain water which has been discharged from the drain discharge ports 10 can be dropped down to the ground along the reinforcing struts 43. In this way, a low-cost loading structure of low coasts can be attained, while coping with a large quantity of drain water to realize a reliable drain treatment.
