Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the proof strength of a panel zone equal to or more than the yield strength of a beam in a frame structure of a steel structure building by setting the ratio of the web thickness of H-steel and a flange thickness in a specific range. SOLUTION: In H-steel in case of constituting a frame structure of a steel structure building of H-steel and H-steel beam, thickness (ctw) necessary for that the proof stress of a panel zone is equal to or more than the yield strength of the H-steel beam is made. In the H-steel 1, the thickness (ctw) of a web 1w is made thicker than the thickness (ctf) of a flange 1f, the ratio (ctw/ctf) of the web thickness to the flange thickness is selected in the range of 1.2-4, for instance, 1.25. With regard to decision of the web thickness and the flange thickness of such an H-steel, the structure condition, scale condition, beam condition, beam attaching condition, strength condition of a column and a beam and the like of a used building are considered, in the range that the ratio of the to-be-specified web thickness and flange thickness is satisfied.
