Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating volatile organic chlorine compounds which detoxifies the chlorine compounds efficiently and surely by simple constitution. SOLUTION: Air containing an volatile organic chlorine compound such as trichloroethylene is introduced into an ultraviolet irradiation tank 1 to be irradiated with ultraviolet rays of 300 nm or below. The compound is oxidized by oxygen in the air into primary by-product such as carbonyl chloride and dichloroacetyl chloride. Water 5 circulated by the ejector 7 of a bio-treatment tank 4 is mixed with the air after the irradiation, the primary by-products are absorbed in the water 5 to produce secondary by-products, which is subjected to aerobic bio-treatment in a reaction tank 6 of a high sludge level in which water 5 is retained, and sludge separated by the membrane separator 14 of a solid-liquid separating means 11 is returned. The secondary by-products are treated efficiently by the maintenance of the quantity of sludge, and absorption of the primary by-products is promoted, enabling efficient, sure treatment with one tank. |
