SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIGITAL PORTABLE FACSIMILE COMMUNICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable retransmission in the case of returning a portable telephone set with facsimile(FAX) built-in on the side of reception into the communication zone of a digital portable network by preserving transmission data at a base station when the portable telephone set with FAX built-in on the side of reception is located outside the zone or moved outside the zone in the middle of communication and the transmission is not normally completed as a result. SOLUTION: Concerning this facsimile communication system, transmission/ reception data between portable telephone sets 101 and 102 with FAXs built-in are stored in a data storage part 110 of a base station 103 and under the control of a control part 109, these stored data are transmitted to the portable telephone set 102 with FAX built-in on the side of reception existent outside the communication zone after this telephone set is returned into the zone. Thus, even when the portable telephone set 102 with FAX built-in is moved outside the zone in the middle of communication and the transmission is not normally finished as a result, the base station 103 preserves the transmission data and when the telephone set 102 on the side of reception is returned into the zone, these data are transmitted again.
