SOLUTION: This lead-acid battery 10 is composed of a band plate-shaped positive electrode plate 12, a negative electrode plate 14, and a separating plate 13 positioned between them, and a layered body 15 formed by layering them is housed in a casing 11. The layered body 15 is formed into a spiral shape, and its outer shape is a rectangular parallelepiped shape.
