TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suppressible variation in power supply quantity that instruments, etc., other than a heating member receive when the heating member is turned on by repeating a stage where a halogen lamp is turned on for a half cycle of the AC power outputted by a commercial power source and turned off for one cycle. SOLUTION: A microcomputer(MPU) 10 repeatedly turns on and off the halogen lamp 4. In this device SSR 7 performs switching operation so as to repeat the stage wherein the halogen lamp 4 is turned on for a period as long as a half cycle of the AC power outputted from the commercial power source 9 while a single-pulse signal is outputted continuously and turned off for a period which is determined according to the single-pulse signal and as long as one cycle of the AC power. After the output of the single-pulse signal ends, switching operation is so performed that the halogen lamp 4 is held on until the MPU 10 outputs a turn-off instruction signal.
