Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working area limiting device of a construction machine capable of being instantaneously recognized as to what extent a working machine approaches a stop area. SOLUTION: An arithmetic unit 14 calculates a specific position of a working machine 8 such as an arm front end position based on a relative angle signal detected from angle sensors 15, 16 and 17, a relative distance between the arm front end position and stop area set around a driving room 2a is made to perform operations, and as a result of the operations, it is outputted to a monitor device 19 as a control signal. The monitor device 19 is provided inside the driving room 2a, and a plurality of indication segments 20 are arranged on a straight line to the indication surface. Each of the indication segments 20 is turned on and off by the control signal from the arithmetic unit 14, for example, in the case it is decided that a bucket is separated more than 2m from the stop area, the arithmetic unit 14 outputs the control signal for putting out the lights of the whole indication segment 20, and in the case it is decided that the bucket approaches within 2m from the stop area, the arithmetic unit 14 outputs the control signal for successively making the lights of the indication segments 20 turn on in accordance with the distance from the stop area.
