INTERMEDIATE TREATING AGENT IN REDUCTION AND OXOIDATION TREATMENT OF HAIR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject treating agent capable of preventing the damage to hair from cold type perming, humidifying type perming, etc., imparting a good touch to the hair and improving a permanent wave forming ability and straight effects by formulating a specific silylated peptide with a keratin hydrolyzate containing a cystine residue and a vegetable extract solution containing the cystine residue. SOLUTION: This hair treating agent is obtained by formulating (A) a silylated peptide having a functional group containing one silicon atom and covalently bonded to amino group of a peptide preferably represented by the formula R1 to R3 is a 1-3C alkyl or OH; R4 is a residue except the terminal amino group of a basic amino acid having the amino group at the terminal of the side chain; R5 is an amino acid side chain other than R4; (a) is 1 or 3; (m) is 0-200; (n) is 0-200; [(m) + (n)] is 1-200} and containing the amino group of the amino acid side chain with (B) a keratin hydrolyzate containing a cystine residue and/or a vegetable extract solution containing the cystine residue (e.g. an extract solution from an oat).
