TIRE CUTTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut and divide a tire into a plurality of fractions in a short time by cutting the tire along one or plural cross sections of the tire from the sidewall side of the tire by holding the tire placed on a stand in a prescribed attitude. SOLUTION: A tire 5 is placed on a stand 10 while moving the tire on a roller conveyor 13. At this time, in the tire 5, the attitude is held by a tire holder 21. While, after penetrating a holding bar 23 through the tire 5, the holding bar 23 is rotated by half so that the tire 5 is locked by a locking member 25. When a changeover switch 40 is automated, a hydraulic cylinder 33 is operated by pushing an operation switch 41, and a cutter 31 installed on the tip of a shaft 33a moves up to a prescribed position to cut the tire 5 along a cross section from the sidewall side. When the cutter 31 reaches a position to completely cut the tire 5, the cutter stops at the position. After prescribed time passes, the shaft 33a retreats, so that the cutter 31 returns to the former position.
