Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject roll of simple structure having such a scheme that the leaves/stems of cormophyte such as spinach harvested from the field and unnecessary undergrown leaves and cotyledon are mechanically removed in high accuracy. SOLUTION: This roll for preparing vegetables has such a scheme that, the leaves/stems of cormophyte such as spinach harvested from the field are fed into the preparatory gaps between rolls 3 and 5 standing against each other and being in rotation inwardly to ensure undergrown leaves and cotyledon to be removed from the leaves/stems; wherein the rolls 3 and 5 are paired and provided with slits 6 longitudinally, and the space between the slits adjacent to each other can be regulated.
