Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude the possibility of damage of an electrode for a battery, and to allow highly reliable lead terminal junction to a collector. SOLUTION: This device has an ultrasonic oscillator 1, an ultrasonic welding head 2 to which an output of the oscillator 1 is supplied, an advance and retreat driving mechanism 3 for advancing and retreating the head 2 to a fixed direction, a pressure control mechanism 6 for controlling pressure of the mechanism 3, a control circuit 7 for interlocking to the advance and retreat of the ultrasonic welding head 2 by the mechanism 3 to control oscillation-stop for the ultrasonic oscillator 1, and a supporting mechanism 4 for positioning a workpiece 5 to be supported facing to the advancing and retreating ultrasonic welding head 2.
