BURNING METHOD OF GLASS SUBSTRATE FOR PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burning method of a glass substrate for a plasma display panel capable of lessening impure gas in the plasma display panel. SOLUTION: In this method for burning a material to be burnt formed on the glass substrate W for the plasma display panel, the glass substrate W is kept in the burning temperature range of the material to be burnt under the atmospheric pressure during the predetermined period of time, to burn the material to be burnt. Thereafter, it is kept under the decompressed condition during the predetermined period of time with the high-temperature lower than the burning temperature range being maintained, to vacuum-exhaust residual decomposed gas generated from the material to be burnt. Then, it is cooled to the predetermined temperature under the atmospheric pressure.
