Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate cross-talk phenomenon by low voltage drive and improve picture quality in a liquid crystal display device of a horizontal electric field drive method by which an excellent multi-level display with a wide visual angle can be achieved. SOLUTION: Plural signal wirings 102 and scanning wirings 101 arranged in a matrix form, switching elements formed corresponding to each intersection of these wirings, common electrode wirings 103 formed corresponding to each of the plural scanning wirings 101, and pixel electrodes are formed, and adjoining pixel electrodes (a), (b) in the direction of the scanning wirings 101 form additional capacities across a same common electrode wiring 103, and are connected with switching elements controlled by mutually different scanning wirings 101. Otherwise, adjoining pixel electrodes in the direction of the scanning wirings form additional capacities across mutually different common electrode wirings, and are also connected with switching elements controlled by the same scanning wiring.
