Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing device for sodium in a through hole, capable of removing/cleaning sodium deposited in an apparatus through hole provided in a shield plug of a fast breeder reactor, while the sodium is observed. SOLUTION: A link mechanism 22 fitted with a waste cloth 24 is provided on a sodium removing part 12 to be inserted into an apparatus through hole 2, and alcohol supply nozzles 25 are provided thereon for supplying alcohol to the waste cloth 24. The sodium removing part 12 is inserted into the apparatus through hole 2. The link mechanism 22 is attached to an operating shaft 21 of the sodium removing part 12, and a piston 23 having the waste cloth 24 on its surface and a detection part 49 with a built-in endoscope 26 are attached to the link mechanism 22. The alcohol supply nozzles 25 for supplying alcohol to the waste cloth 24 are provided so as to be put through a guide pipe 13. The operating shaft 21 is connected to an operation part, and the operation part can be lifted or lowered by being connected to a lifting machine, such as a crane and a chain block, via a hoisting accessory.
