Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active pixel sensor(APS) to provide more multi- functional plural arrays for achieving the data transfer of high pixel rate. SOLUTION: A pixel array 10 is formed on a semiconductor substrate. The pixel array 10 is arranged with plural rows and columns. The pixel array 10 is functionally divided and column address/signal processing/output circuits 11, 12, 13 and 14 and one row address circuit 18 are provided for each divided area so that the plural pixels can be simultaneously addressed and read out. The column address/signal processing/output circuits 11, 12, 13 and 14 are provided in the respective areas and output the sequences of pixels in the respective areas.
