Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the sense of incompatibility from being given to a driver by preventing an inappropriate control of a vehicle based on a shape of a road where the vehicle does not actually travel. SOLUTION: In a system in which the road shape of a designated rod to guide a vehicle to its destination is predicted from a road map data, and an alarm is given or an automatic deceleration is effected when it is difficult for the vehicle to pass a curve of the designated road in the forward, whether or not the vehicle correctly travels on the designated road is judged based on the deviation Δθ(θV-θM) between the azimuth θV of the actual traveling direction of the vehicle and the azimuth θM of the designated road. When it is judged that there is a possibility that the vehicle travels in a deviated manner from the designated road, an inappropriate vehicle control is effected by stopping or suppressing the alarm or the automatic deceleration to prevent the sense of incompatibility from being given to a driver. |
