Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a defective adhesion from occuring even when a screen mesh is immersed in a plate cleaning liquid for a long time by applying protecting tapes slightly spaced from each other instead of lapping the protecting tapes over each other, on the screen mesh of a plate frame, and forming a protecting coating film on the bonded part of a gauze to be exposed on a gap between the mutually spaced protecting tapes or on the longitudinal end parts of the tape. SOLUTION: A screen mesh 12 is stretched to the outsides of the X and Y directions on an Al frame 11 and is firmly bonded on the upper face of the Al frame 11 with an adhesive. Next a protecting tape 15 such as the Al adhesive-backed tape or a paper adhesive-backed tape or the like ia applied to the outside of an image A and to the inside part of the Al frame 11, or a protecting tape 15X and a protecting tape 15Y of the Y direction are applied, without the mutual lapping of the protecting taps 15X, 15Y, in the X direction to the surface of the screen mesh 12 on the part where the Al frame 11 and the screen mesh 12 are bonded together. The protecting tapes 15X, 15Y are applied slightly spaced from each other so that the protecting tapes 15X, 15Y are not superposed on each other. A liquid substance is applied to the adhesive part N of a gauze exposed in a gap M between the protecting tapes 15X, 15Y or on the longitudinal end part of the protecting tape 15, and then is dried to form a protecting coating film.
