METHOD FOR TREATING TELEVISION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating a waste television or a waste Braun tube by which the Braun tube is taken out or the waste television and a panel glass and a funnel glass can be surely separated. SOLUTION: In this method for heating the television, combustibles are separated from the Braun tube 1 while keeping a shape of the television 2 and a heat treatment is executed at a temp. where only an adhering glass of the Braun tube melts and a pannel part 3 and a funnel part 4 of the Braun tube are separated in a state where the adhering glass 5 is melted. In this processing method of the television, the front surface of the pannel part of the Braun tube is positioned upward or downward, is mounted on a supporting tool and can be subjected to a heat treatment at 450 to 900 deg.C. Then, external force in a horizontal direction is applied to the funnel part 4 to separate the pannel part 3 and the funnel part 4 of the Braun tube 1. When the front surface of the panel part thereof is mounted downward on the supporting tool, broken parts are dropped on a masking metallic material and the panel glass and the funnel glass can be separated by removing the masking metallic material.
