Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new enzyme consisting of a phosphodiesterase enzyme having a specific amino acid sequence, and useful for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases associated with the phosphodiesterase and the evaluation and search of a medicine capable of adjusting the phosphodiesterase activity. SOLUTION: This phosphodiesterase enzyme has an amino acid sequence containing a sequence shown by the formula, a mutant, a complemental material, a fragment or a derivative thereof, and used for the evaluation and/or screening of a medicine useful for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases or morbid states associated with the phosphodiesterase, especially of hypogonadism, etc. The phosphodiesterase enzyme is obtained by hybridizing for screening a cDNA or a genom library originated from a mammalian animal by using a probe, incorporating the obtained nucleic acid sequence encoding the phosphodiesterase into a vector to form a recombinant nucleotide and then integrating the vector into a host cell for expressing the enzyme.
