PREPARATION OF TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life toner for developing an electrostatic charge image excellent in a charge characteristic to provide an image of high quality even in repeated use for a long period. SOLUTION: In this preparation method of a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image having a process for kneading in a molted condition a raw material comprising at least a binder resin, a quaternary ammonium salt expressed by the general formula, and carbon black, the carbon black used is pelletized carbon black having 2 g or less of particle hardness, 0.1-0.50 g/ml of rough pack bulk density, and 0.05 or less of ultraviolet absorbance. In the formula, R1-R4 represent independently substituted or nonsubstituted hydrocarbon groups, Xn- represents an anion, and n is a natural number.
