SOLUTION: A deformed cross section tunnel boring machine includes a pair of circular cutter heads 6 and an oscillating cutter 7 freely oscillationally provided between the pair of circular cutter heads 6, and two tunnels of circular cross section are bored by the pair of circular cutter heads 6. A portion undug between the two tunnels of circular cross section is bored by the oscillating cutter 7 to bore the tunnels of deformed cross section.
