INCOMING CALL INDICATION METHOD FOR SHORT MESSAGE AND TERMINAL DEVICE USING THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deletion of a short message from a memory means by using the language that is used in the message as a language that indicates the incoming of the message. SOLUTION: A data burst message is received, the SMS(short message service) information data are expanded via a relay layer and the bearer data are expanded via a transport layer. If the message language included in a language indicator uses 'English' that is previously defined, the incoming display data expressed in English are read out of a memory 26 and shown at a display part 20. If the message language uses 'French', the incoming display data expressed in French are read out of the memory 26 and shown at the part 20. Thus, the incoming display data are expressed in the same language as that used in the received message and accordingly it is possible to easily grasp the language that is used in a message without opening a message file.
