PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having high luminance and a long life. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel is provided with a vacuum ultraviolet reflection layer 13 on the surface, facing to a data side board 2, of a scanning side board 1 in its structure. The reflection layer 13 is formed into a multi- layered structure composed of alternate layers of two kinds of substances having refraction indexes different from each other. An ultraviolet-ray irradiated on the scanning side board 1 by the vacuum ultraviolet reflection layer 13 formed on the surface of the scanning side board 1 is reflected toward the back plate side, and thereby, the ultraviolet-ray quantity impinging on a phosphor 12 is increased, so that luminance can be improved.
