SUSPENSION FOR MAGNETIC HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the manufacturing control and to improve the manufacturing yield by adding a discrimination part for showing the performance, history, etc., of a head. SOLUTION: The head 1 is adhered to the suspension consisting of a load beam 4, a guide arm 2 and a discriminating area part. The discriminating area part 3 is projected out from the guide arm 2 and formed to the rectangle divided to several areas. The size of the discriminating area part 3 is allowed to set in the range not interrupting the movement of the suspension, and the larger is preferable. The electrical performance of the magnetic head is classified with the rank and displayed by dots with ink in A, B, C, D, E in the discriminating area part 3 in accordance with the rank. The countermeasure is attained by means of assigning one dot against the plural discriminations, and the workability is improved and the mistake is prevented. Also, the improvement is made for the marking workability.
