PASSAGE DETECTING DEVICE FOR MOBILE OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting the passing timing or number of small objects whose surface reflectivity is not stable such as the pantograph of a train without any malfunction. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a first object detecting sensor 4 for reacting when an object to be detected passes through a prescribed position, second object detecting sensor 5 for detecting the passage of two other objects moving with the moving object to be detected, and signal processor 6 equipped with a timer and an arithmetic function for measuring the passing time and passing speed or the like from a signal from the second object detecting sensor 5, for predicting the reacting time or time when the object to be detected passes through the first object detecting sensor 4, for comparing the predicted value with the actual reacting time or time, for judging the passage of the object to be detected, and for outputting the result.
