MEASURING METHOD AND MEASURING KIT FOR LIPOPROTEIN A-I CHOLESTEROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure cholesterol with a simple operation and with a reduced measurement error by a measurer. SOLUTION: In this method for measuring lipoprotein A-I cholesterol in serum or plasma, a surfactant and an anti-human apoprotein A-II antibody are added to a test sample, and produced insoluble matter is removed, and cholesterol in the top clear layer is measured. The antibody is preferably added in the form of anti-apoprotein serum or defatted anti-apoprotein serum or a refined antibody. An antibody obtained from sheep or goat or rabbit is used as the antibody. This kit has at least a vessel in which the anti-human lipoprotein A-II antibody is stored, a vessel in which the surfactant is stored and a vessel where a cholesterol measuring reagent is stored.
