PIGMENTATION PREVENTING AGENT AND SKIN COSMETIC AND SKIN LOTION PRODUCED BY USING THE AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigmentation preventing agent having excellent stability, safety, melanogenesis inhibiting action and dendrite formation inhibiting action by including a specific hydrangenol (derivative). SOLUTION: The objective preventing agent is produced by including (A) a hydrangenol (derivative) of formula (R1 and R2 are each H or a sugar residue) and as necessary (B) ascorbic acid (salt). The component A is an isocoumarin compound contained in a crude drug Amacha (Hydrangea Dulcls Follum) (a kind of herb drug). The component A can be produced by extracting the crude drug Amacha with an organic solvent, removing the solid material by filtration or centrifugal separation and purifying by chromatography. The component B is ascorbic acid (vitamin C), ascorbic acid phosphate salt, ascorbic acid sulfate salt, etc. A liquid extract, etc., of a plant containing the component B may be used as the component B.
