Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation ditch device which is simple in constitution and is capable of accelerating a purification effect. SOLUTION: This device has a tank body 1 which forms a circulating path at a horizontal level, a circulating flow generator 4 which generates a circulating flow along this circulating path and an air diffuser 5 which generates ascending air bubbles within the circulating flow disposed at the bottom of this tank body 1. A contracted flow device 6 which converges the flow on the base surface side of the tank body of the circulating flow nearer the upstream side position than the air diffuser 5 is disposed in the tank body 1.
