CULTURE OF EUCALYPTUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing eucalyptus by inoculating and infecting the eucalyptus with an infection source of specific mycorrhizal fungus, capable of stimulating the branching of the eucalyptus, especially Eucalyptus globulus, to enhance the survival rate of the eucalyptus, when planted in a poorly nutritive soil. SOLUTION: This method for culturing eucalyptus comprises inoculating and infecting the eucalyptus with a VA mycorrhizal fungus infection source. The inoculation of the VA mycorrhizal fungus is preferably carried out in the seedling-growing period of the eucalyptus, especially more preferably one week to three months later after the seeds of the eucalyptus are sowed. The eucalyptus includes Eucalyptus globulus. The VA mycorrhizal fungus includes mycorrhizal fungi belonging to the genera Gigaspora, Scutellospora and Glomus.
