ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FITTING FRAMEWORK AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CONNECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a framework for holding an electrical connector at a predetermined position for performing through-bolt type engagement with the 'blind' operation with a terminal inside of a connecting block. SOLUTION: This device for fixing a wire harness terminal connector to the lower surface of an electrical connecting block 88 with the blind assembling work includes a floating framework 12 which has a chamber for housing a connector 18 with mechanical snap fitting. The connector 18 is floatable in the vertical direction over a constant range inside each chamber. The framework housing the connector 18 is fitted in the lower surface of the connecting block 88 together with a lower side cover 74. As a bolt 96 fitted to the connecting block 88 and a constraining nut held in the connector are threaded with each other, the connector 18 is pulled up from a lower side abutment position to an upper side electrical engagement position, where a terminal of the connector electrically engages with a bus bar of the connecting block 88, inside of the framework chamber. An upper stopper prevents the movement of the connector 18 riding over the electrical engagement position and the generation of damage in a bus bar connector and a terminal of each part of the connecting block 88.
