DRAWING PREPARATION DEVICE IN PRODUCT MODEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect design changes for a product model in a drawing with little labor and time which repeatedly occurs in its design stages. SOLUTION: The drawing preparation device is composed of an input means 7 which is housed in a storage device of a computer and which sets an arbitrary area of a product model that has attribute data such as a design condition, shape or material by relating them, a drawing generation function 1 which extracts a part of the area of the product model, generates a two-dimensional drawing on the basis of the extracted partial model and performs automatic generation and manual correction of drafting information of the drawing concerned, and a drafting information data base 4 for registering association between the drafting information and the attribute data of the product model. The drawing generation function 1 maps or projects the partial on an arbitrary plane, coordinate-transforms it into display data after hidden line processing is performed, adds and changes the drafting information to the display by the automatic generation or the manual correction, and registers the drafting information concerned and association of the drafting information concerned and the attribute data of the product model in the drafting information data base 4.
