Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glass paste compsn. capable of forming barrier ribs excellent in denseness and reducing the amt. of gaseous impurities adsorbed by incorporating a powdery inorg. material contg. specified amts. of a low softening point glass powder and a powdery oxide ceramic filler. SOLUTION: The glass paste compsn. contains a powdery inorg. material contg. 61-89 wt.% low softening point glass powder, e.g. comprising one or more selected from lead oxide, bismuth oxide and zinc oxide and 6-24 wt.% powdery oxide ceramic filler preferably having >=90 MPa strength. The oxide ceramic filler is preferably one or more selected from zirconia, alumina, mullite, magnesia, forsterite, zircon and cordierite. A metal oxide pigment may further be incorporated into the compsn. The pigment has a color tone adjusting function and desirably contains oxide of one or more metals selected from Ti, Cu and Fe as a primary component.
