Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving and handling a high molecular weight polyester resin composition which can keep a low water content of not more than 70 ppm through to a molding process without a drying process before the molding process. SOLUTION: A method for preserving a high molecular weight polyester resin composition obtained by conducting a solid phase polyaddition reaction to a polyester resin composition containing a polyfunctional compound and a raw polyester resin is characterized in that the solid phase polyaddition reaction is conducted at a temperature from higher than a glass transition temperature of the raw polyester resin to lower than the melting point thereof and further the water content of the high molecular weight composition is kept not more than 70 ppm after the solid phase polyaddition reaction.
