The method being described is associated with a video surveillance system for remotely checking the unattended outdoor environment, specifically in the conditions of little light, to report and signal possibly dangerous situations, where changing identifying passes are provided over the observed areas in an observation scene that are made up of:a) determined rectangular areas that have been previously focused on, approximate zones of the image in which the changes are reported; B) calculations in the difference between the reference images and the current images, but only inside the preset rectangle.
