Zusammenfassung:	A system (21) for the automatic withdrawal and deposit of banknotes, comprising a deposition store (22) for banknotes (27, 65), a withdrawal device (23) for withdrawing banknotes (27) from the said store, and a deposition device (24) for depositing banknotes (28) in the said store. The system (21) further comprises interface deposition means (36, 37, 39) for interfacing the deposition device (24); and delimiting means (42) for physically delimiting a protected area (43) hereabout the interface deposition means (36, 37, 39). The delimiting means (42) include door means (46) with coded access (47) for limiting the physical access to the protected area (43) only to authorised customers, and the protected area (43) is such to enable the authorised customers to freely operate on the interface deposition means (36, 37, 39).
