Zusammenfassung:A suture holder comprises a flat support 1 into the edge of which suture needles 101, 102 may be pressed so as to retain the needles without damaing them, and slits 91, 92 formed in the edge of the support so that suture thread 11 may pass therethrough and be retained therein. A single thread 11 extends from one needle 101 to the other 102 and passes through both slits 91, 92 so that a loop 11a is formed between the slits. When the loop is cut and the support 1 is separated into two parts along a longitudinally-extending boundary line consisting of a predetermined break line or a join, a separate suture carried independently by each part is formed.
