The sections are moved by folding frames (8) with a linear guide (11) with a linear drive unit (12) for the rear roof section. A turning lever (16) engages with one end via a hinge point (17) on the rear roof section. The other lever end is hinged to a vehicle-fixed hinge point (18). The rear roof section is moved by the linear guide and pivoted by the lever, so that both roof sections are selectively positioned either at least partially in the rear seat area, or at least almost completely in the boot area.
