Zusammenfassung:A device serves for filtering a fluid contaminated with particles, in particular an exhaust gas transporting particulate matter from an engine. The device is provided with an outer container and at least one filter device of a porous material. The porous material of each of the at least one filter devices has a number of folds extending in the direction of flow. Furthermore, the porous material has in its cross section a closed geometrical form with at least one inner opening.
