Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a vehicle seat, particularly for an aircraft, having a cushion (5) made of foam plastic (8), having a supporting body (7) made of an open-cell, flexible foam plastic (8) with a first relative density, and a middle layer with a second relative density different from the first, and a cover material (26), which are joined together, in particular adhesively bonded at certain points, and, if desired, having an intermediate layer (15) which is arranged between the supporting body (7) and the cover material (26), is flameproof and is formed from high-temperature-resistant fibres or threads (16) laid in the form of a grid or net. The middle layer (18) is formed by a nonwoven (22) composed of at least one fibre layer (21) of needled or thermally bonded fibres or threads (19, 20) of plastic and/or natural materials, which are preferably pinned to a carrier layer (23).
